Hornets Drop Home Contest to #1 Davenport

Kalamazoo lost to Davenport, ranked first in the country in NAIA, but a score of 100-57. Davenport (12-1) pressured Kalamazoo throughout the entire game, but the Hornets put 3 separate runs of 6,8,and 7 together throughout the second half. Although the Hornets lost the contest, Kalamazoo was able to focus on goals throughout the second half, many of which they acheived.

The Hornets were led by Sophomore Kelsey Johnson who led the way with a career high 14 points. She was followed by Senior Nyemade Cooper (9 points) and Freshman Katrina Carlsen (9 points). Senior Andrea Bedway added 5 points along with 5 rebounds in 18 minutes for the Hornets. Senior Briana Hendrix added 4 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals in 23 minutes.
